The Huawei Watch GT2 received mixed reviews in the market. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:
Positives:

- Fitness Tracking: It was praised for its accurate fitness tracking features like GPS, heart rate monitoring, and multiple workout modes.
- Elegant Design: The design was well-received, with some reviewers highlighting the use of premium materials like sapphire glass.

Alongside the all-new Mate-30 series, Huawei has also announced the Watch GT 2, at an event in Munich, Germany. The GT 2 is a refined version of the original GT, launched last year, and comes with a few improvements and Huawei’s in-house LiteOS running on top.
The Watch GT 2 features an all-in-one 3D glass design, similar to the previous generation. It comes in two screen size options: 42mm and 46mm. The 42mm option features a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with 390 x 390 pixels screen resolution and a 20mm strap. On the other hand, the 46mm has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels screen resolution and a 22mm strap. Both models come with 5ATM rating, which makes them water-resistant at a depth of 50 meters for up to 10 minutes.
At its core, the watch comes with Huawei’s in-house Kirin A1 chip and includes Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and optical heart rate sensors. Also, it comes with a wide range of sensors including Accelerometer sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Optical heart rate sensor, Ambient light sensor, Air pressure sensor, and Capacitive sensor. Huawei says the watch offers 10 hours of battery life Bluetooth calling, with up to 14 days of typical battery life on the 46mm and up to 7 days of battery life on the 42mm variant. The watch will also come with support for 15 sports, including running, walking, hiking, cycling, swimming, and more.
In addition, Huawei is also adding the Huawei TruSleep 2.0 technology, which monitors sleep quality, real-time heart rate, sleep breathing quality, and then uses Big Data to offer insights on the sleep quality. Furthermore, it also uses AI to analyze sleep patterns and provide suggestions to users to improve their sleeping quality.
