Samsung, one of the biggest consumer electronics conglomerate in the world, has announced three new products in India. These products include the Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy Watch 4G, and Galaxy Watch Active 2, which further expand its existing portfolio of products and offer more options to the end customer.
With each of these products, Samsung has something unique to offer. Starting with the Tab S6, the newest flagship tablet from the company targets people who want to get work done, while on the go. For which, it comes with an improved keyboard, that supports a built-in trackpad and a dedicated DeX key, and also offers new DeX features. On the other hand, with the Galaxy Watch 4G, Samsung forays into its first eSIM product that offers mobility and allows users to always stay connected without a phone. Whereas, with the Watch Active2, it focusses more on personalized fitness by offering advanced fitness tracking features in a small package.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6
The Galaxy Tab S6 flaunts a 10-5-inch Super AMOLED WQXGA display with a 2560×1600 pixels screen resolution and an on-screen fingerprint scanner for security. At its core, the device is powered by a Qualcomm 855 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB with microSD card). And to power everything, it includes a 7040mAh battery. In terms of optics, the Tab S6 sports a dual-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary ultra-wide sensor with a 123-degree field of view. Towards the front, it has an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Furthermore, the tab also comes with an S-Pen found on the Note-series devices from the company, which can come in handy to perform a plethora of operations, ranging from creating/illustrating stuff, scrolling, note-taking, giving presentations, and not to mention, taking selfies. It has a 0.35mAh battery with wireless charging support, which can come in handy in most situations. Besides, the tab also comes with AKG-tuned speaker, Dolby Atmos, Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, and Bixby voice assistant.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4G
The Watch 4G comes in two variants: 42mm and 46mm. The 42mm features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 360×360 pixels screen resolution, whereas, the 46mm comes with a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with the same screen resolution. Despite the difference in screen sizes, both models support the 22mm interchangeable straps. As already mentioned, the Watch 4G is the fist first smartwatch from Samsung to launch with an eSIM in India and will be compatible with Reliance Jio and Airtel.
Under the hood, the watch is powered by a dual-core Samsung Exynos 9110 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. It also includes sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, and heart rate monitor, along with 3G/LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, and GPS, which make it more of an independent device. As for activity tracking, Watch 4G offers features like walking, running, cycling, elliptical machine, rowing, and dynamic workouts, in addition to a few indoor exercises to offer users a complete fitness tracking package.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2
Unlike the Watch 4G, the Galaxy Watch Active2 comes in only one screen size: 44mm. However, it does offer two options with the casing: aluminum and stainless steel. The watch sports a 1.4-inch round Super AMOLED display with a 360×360 pixels screen resolution and IP68 rating to allow it to work at up to 5ATM.
At its core, the watch is powered an Exynos 9110 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. Samsung is offering a touch-sensitive bezel on the watch, that clockwise and anti-clockwise and allows users to navigate around the UI in a much simpler and intuitive way. It is capable of tracking more than 39 workouts, with the ability to automatically detect running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing machine, elliptical machine, and dynamic workouts. Further, it also comes with an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and ambient light sensor, ECG sensor, and a heart-rate sensor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, Watch 4G, and Watch Active2: Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 comes in two colors: Mountain Gray and Cloud Blue, and is priced at Rs 59,900. As an introductory offer, Samsung is offering a cashback of Rs 5,000 for HDFC Bank Credit and Debit Cards.
The Galaxy Watch 4G comes in two variants: 42mm and 46mm, priced at Rs 28,490 and Rs 30,990 respectively. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch Active2 in stainless steel comes in three colors: Silver, Black, and Gold, priced at Rs 31,990, and the Watch Active2 in aluminum comes in Black, Rose Gold, and Cloud Silver, and is priced at Rs 26,990.
All three products will go on sale in India starting October 11 and will be available across offline stores, Samsung e-shop, Amazon, and Flipkart.
