Quick Answer
There are 3 easy ways in both Chrome and Firefox to disable push notifications. You can disable push notifications for a single website or multiple websites or all websites at once on both browsers. The option to disable is in Settings > Privacy and Security > Notifications.
Push notifications are a way for websites to show you different activities on their websites. Some news websites may ask permission for push notifications to send you the latest news updates on your PC. Other websites may use push notifications to send you different offers, updates, or important information. While push notifications can be a good way to stay updated about the website you most often visit, they can become annoying and intrusive.

Especially when a website starts sending you unnecessary notifications about something irrelevant at regular intervals. In fact, as per the IT security consulting firm, Securing, web push notifications are also used for user-targeted attacks. In this case, you need to opt to disable the push notifications.
In this guide, we will share with you the steps you need to disable push notifications on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. We have chosen these two browsers as they are popular and most widely used. Let’s jump right into it.
