We Have Had Two Big Cybersecurity Incidents That Happened Very Recently
Tata Electronics has confirmed a cybersecurity incident where the ransomware hacker group has gained access to confidential internal files linked to Apple and Tesla. For those who are unaware, Tata manufactures one-third of Apple iPhones in India and is also a manufacturing partner for some Tesla parts.
The hackers behind this leak have claimed to have posted 2,00,000 files from Tata Electronics on the dark web. These include internal documents from both Apple and Tesla, such as Quality inspection standards and Apple factory data, Files linked to Hosur, which is Tata’s main iPhone assembly operations in the Tamil Nadu unit, India, and also Tesla part designs and manufacturing specs, and various other trade secrets.
Tata says that they discovered this incident a few weeks ago and activated response protocols, stating that no business operations were affected. However, this is a huge cybersecurity incident because Apple and Tesla were the two biggest companies involved, which might have trade secrets. According to Reuters, Apple is investigating this issue, but there is no information about Tesla.

In another incident, once again, LastPass has been affected by a new data breach
In another incident, once again, LastPass has been affected by a new data breach. This time, LastPass says its third-party software, Klue, was compromised, which comprises LastPass sales data. And this isn’t the first time LastPass has been affected by such attacks.
In 2015, the company saw an unusual data transfer from its database, where 1.25 million users were affected. LastPass asked users to change their master passwords. In 2015, a real data breach happened where hackers got access to users’ email addresses, password reminders, and authentication hashes. In 2019, a small extension bug was fixed by the company, which, if not addressed, could have led to another hack. In 2022, it was affected by a major breach, where the attacker got access to customer metadata and also backups of customer wallet data.
Now in 2026, LastPass again said that they have been affected by another incident, but this time through a third-party supplier. The hackers got access to customer data from inside its Salesforce and other CRMs, which contain mainly sales information, names, Phone numbers, email, and addresses, and all sales-related data. If you are a LastPass user, there are plenty of best alternatives available. You can also try the free Bitwarden, which we reviewed.

OpenAI’s New Voice Mode Is So Seamless
OpenAI might soon introduce a new voice mode experience in its platforms, including the ChatGPT app, which is far more seamless than we have ever seen before. The new voice mode, which is codenamed Bidi1, is currently in testing. Many previews of how it’s going to work have surfaced online already, and you can check it yourself. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
OPENAI 🔥: An upcoming Bidi 1 voice model will be able to translate in real-time!
This will unlock a huge pile of use cases to be built on top of when it lands on the APIs. pic.twitter.com/95sRnSzJfs

But that’s hopefully going to change with the upcoming OpenAI voice mode. From the demos we have seen so far on the internet, the biggest upgrade for me is how it handles interruptions and pauses. You can interrupt it in the middle, and it stops and listens to you, just like a real human. Moreover, it can switch tasks in the middle of conversations. It memorizes the context better now and can also translate voice in real-time as you speak.
The best part is that we think this voice mode will also be available as an API for developers. So we should see what application developers will build through this new voice mode experience. The new voice mode is expected to arrive alongside the upcoming GPT 5.6, which is strongly rumored to be released this Thursday.
Slack Got a New Anthropic AI Agent
Slack, a popular workspace communication platform, is getting a new AI agent from Anthropic called Claude Tag. It can be added directly into your Slack channels and public groups, where you can tag the agent directly in the chats and ask it to perform tasks. It can also connect to external tools such as your company data and internal codebases.
Introducing Claude Tag, a new way for teams to work with Claude.
In Slack, Claude joins as a team member with access to the channels and tools you choose. Tag Claude in and delegate tasks to it while you focus on other work. pic.twitter.com/R2C6A5Kcye

If you are worried about privacy, you will have complete control of what data you can share with the Claude Tag bot. Currently, it is only available for the Cloud Enterprise and Team customers.
Superhuman Go Is Acquiring GPTZero
Superhuman Go, the parent company of Grammarly that recently rebranded itself as an AI-first company, is now acquiring the AI content detector GPTZero. Grammarly already offers an AI content detection tool, which is decent at finding AI content. However, with this new acquisition, it can further improve its capabilities. GPTZero is one of the popular tools that can help you detect AI-generated content, but there are even better options if you want to check.

Google Pixel Phones Now Support LHDC Version 5 with the Stable Android 17 Update
Google has started rolling out the Android 17 stable version for Pixel devices, which adds plenty of features. Here are a few of our favorite features:
One of the biggest audio upgrades is support for the new LHDC version 5. For those who are unaware, LHDC V5 is a high-quality Bluetooth codec that can deliver better sound quality than standard codecs like AAC and SBC.
Prior to this, Pixels already supported LHDC, but now, with the latest updates, the new LHDC V5 is supported throughout the system. Since it is an Android 17 feature, not only for Pixel phones, any smartphone with Android 17 will now support the new updated codec.
Remember that to get the highest quality of streaming, your earbuds also need to be supported with the LHDC V5 codec, which you can check in the specifications before buying them
If you have upgraded to Android 17 on your Pixel or others, you can check your phone’s supported Bluetooth codec versions by going to Settings> About phone, tapping Build number, then opening Settings > System > Developer options > Bluetooth.
Now You Can Set Custom Themes in Google Messages
Google Messages is rolling out the ability to set custom chat themes for Android users. With the new chat theme option, you can change the colors of the background and the message bubbles. Plus, you can also add wallpapers as your backgrounds.
If you use Google Messages for communication and want more personalization, you can check out this new feature. You can update the Google Messages app on your Android to get this feature.

Meta has launched new smart glasses without the Ray-Ban Branding
In a surprising move, at least for me, Meta has launched new AI smart glasses for $299 without Ray-Ban branding. These new glasses come in three variants, including Metafury, Adventure, and glasses by Kaley. They also support Adjustable nose pads and bending temple tips.
Alongside the new Meta glasses, Meta also launched a charging dock, which looks like a small cylindrical metal cube that lets you place the specs in a stand and only supports a few models.

Here Is a First Look at the Upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 9
Samsung is gearing up for its Unpacked event next month, where it is going to announce its foldable smartphone and also the new Galaxy Watch 9 series. Now, a new render shared by Android Headlines shows what the watch is going to look like. Based on the physical appearance in the leaked images, there is not much difference from the previous generations.

However, internally, the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 series may get an upgrade to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor. We are not sure currently whether Samsung will include the latest processor on all of its models or if it will limit it to the Ultra or higher-end watch models.
